Manali has witnessed a flurry of activity related to hydroelectric power and tourism. Unplanned and rampant construction has led to severe depletion of forests and pollution of river bodies, along with garbage being disposed on the side of the mountains. There has been a loss of habitat to various species of fauna, not limited to the Himalayan Monal, incidentally the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. This prompted the National Green Tribunal to intervene and limit vehicular movement on the popular Manali - Rohtang Pass highway, as well as Solang Valley. This has somewhat arrested the damage. However, a lot still needs to be done.
Day 01 : Arrival Delhi to Shimla (380 Kms, 9 Hours)
Meet and assist. Drive to Shimla-Summer capital of India during British period.On arrival, Shimla Check-in to your Hotel. Rest of the free for Individual activities. Overnight Shimla.
Day 02 : Shimla: Full day sightseeing
Today breakfast proceed for in and around sightseeing of SHIMLA, visit KUFRI, India's one of the best holiday paradise Kufri in Shimla is beautifully tucked on an altitude of 2,622 meter. The place is a tourist hotspot for its awesome scenic and sports activities. Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town - “THE MALL & THE RIDGE” This large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Shimla's landmarks - the neo- gothic structure of Christ Church and the neo - Tudor library building - are worth seeing. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 : Shimla to Kullu Manali(280 Kms, 9/10 Hours)
After breakfast leave for Manali, on the way sight-seeing like Sundernagar lake, Pandoh dam, Vaishno Devi Temple, Kullu and overnight stay at hotel in Manali.
Day 04 : Manali to Excursion to Rohtang Pass (Snow Point)
Today enjoy excursion to Rohtang Pass also called Snow point- enjoy the beauty of year round snow caped mountails. Evening visit “HADIMBA TEMPLE” Built in 1553 with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof, it is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway . “CLUB HOUSE” The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day.” Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and “VASHIST” Well known for its hot springs. There are old temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama. Overnight Manali. Note: Rohtang Pass will be closed on Tuesday. ( Rohtang Pass Sightseeing is not included from 15th May 2015 onwards. It will be chargeable extra payable directly by the guest)
Day 05 : Manali to Chandigarh - Local sightseeing (350 Kms )
After Breakfast check out from hotel. Drive to Chandigarh. Visit Rock Garden - the lifetime dream of Mr. Nek Chand, Rose Garden And Sukhna Lake in the evening. Overnight at Chandigarh.
Day 06 : Chandigarh to Delhi ( 260 kms)
